Today we began learning about Islam. The students watched a video about the history, beliefs and practices. We discussed why Muslims are sometimes seen in a negative light and talked about extremism. Here is the link to a website that provides a variety of background information on Islam. It will help the students retain the information if they have the opportunity to have discussions outside of class.
